Getting Started with Equine Photography!

In this episode, I discuss the first thing you should do with your new camera and how you should get started shooting horse photos.

First of all, Happy New Year! This episode is part of the launch day episode trio. Maybe you’ve had a camera for a while or maybe you just got one for Christmas a couple of weeks ago. Either way, let’s get right into it and start figuring out what your camera does!

After I answer some of the questions I’ve been getting, I dive into what I would do if I just got my first camera. I talk about pushing all the buttons with the intention of learning what they all do.

Get out there and play with your camera with intentionality but most of all, have fun doing it!

Be sure you subscribe to the podcast so you can stay motivated and driven to succeed at equine photography!

Some camera gear can be intimidating, just pick it up and take it off the auto setting, set it on manual and have a play day. Thanks for the podcast Olie. Where do I find the link for Zenfolio? Keep up this amazing gift you are teaching us.

I’ll admit it took Olie’s Guidance to teach me how to use the manual settings for which I’m grateful. It’s a fun journey. Looking forward to learning more. Practicing, practicing, practicing.

      • Thanks for noticing that I forgot the link. I’ll get it added soon. 🙂

Yes, manual can be scary but if you focus on building the basic skills when it doesn’t count, you’ll be ready for when it does. That’s why we play around and practice. Keep up the good work my friend!

Virtual you is a lot better then having no one to go to to ask questions. Thanks for breaking things down and being willing to explain when we still dont get it 🤦‍♀️
